I wouldn’t recommend this particular model to a new user unless they are willing to maintain it properly. The dual brushes are great for collecting pet hair, but if the machine isn’t properly taken care of, they can seize up. In my experience, it’s always a good idea to get insurance for a carpet cleaner. Once you’ve assembled it and plugged it in, make sure to unplug it before cleaning underneath, as hair and sand can collect quickly. And be sure to constantly check and clean it to ensure it’s always ready to use. The attachments on the Vax Dual Power are sturdy and have held up well so far. Overall, I’m happy with my purchase and would recommend the Vax Dual Power to others.
